I thought that I would put the update on the front page, and a Great thing which is just not stated enough

We wish to thank each and everyone of you for being part of The Ultimate Affair  customers, 

I want to wish each & Everyone of you a safe Happy 4th of July, and that our thoughts are with the troops , as they are there fighting for each ,and everyone us our freedoms, I couldn't imagine what the world ,be like without them taking care of all of us. To all my colleagues who have been in the flood areas, we are also with you in thought as well, 

Well on to something just as important..As some of you that have had the pleasure of meeting , Ben's wonderful parents, They will be celebrating 60 , yes I mean 60 years of Marriage on July 03.2008.

If that is not cool, I don't know what is, They got married in Ellicott City in a St.Pauls Catholic Church 60 years ago, just the two of them, then went to Atlantic City for a honeymoon, How romantic can you get!!       Even after all these years they are still so much in love. and, I am truely blessed that they have welcomed me, to there family, and   Maybe Ben and I will be togeather just as long. Well when I see them, in there quest,zest for life, I

see why I am still in this business after allo of these years, It is the love that we see in each and ever person that graces our doors, That makes what we do seem small in comparison, but so truely blessed that we can help you start your new lives togeather as Husband and Wife.

100 people, you have to find the site, menu, entertainment, decorations, lightening.

As a professional company this is my take on all of the above, I understand what you

are saying, How would you know? you have never planned an event of this nature before.

So you can come by and I can help you put all of this down on paper to give you and idea

A MESSAGE AND SOME GREAT FREE ADVICE FROM PAM FOR 2008 BRIDES!

    We at The Ultimate Affair want to wish everyone a great New Years Day that will be filled
with love, happiness and great health to each and everyone of you.
I would also like to post the year end review of some very important things
that I have learned in 2007.
 We all learn something new every day, these are things that  I have seen this year at all the many many weddings we have experienced this year.

 

1: Make sure your site has AC or Heat, for example, a place with No AC is well...you
got it , just  to hot for you and your guests.Just because you will save 1000.00 It is not
worth it when your guests leave after the cocktail hour or don't eat the dinner you have provided
 or not even show up when they look at the website of the place you have chosen and they see there is no AC.
 

2: Make sure the place is clean, yes clean means clean. As we do for all our clients we
do a walk through the week of to make sure these items are done before the event.
 

3: Rest Rooms; make sure there are at least 2 in any site so that you won't have
guests lined up to use them and also make sure they don't open in the room where people will be eating, one bathroom just doesn't cut it on your big day.
 

4: Make sure you have 2 bars set up or at least have 2 Bartenders there to serve drinks it
looks way bad to have the guests lined up to just to get a glass of water. No tip jars, tip jars are
tacky.
 

 5 . When serving dinner think about what your guests will really eat, even if you are on
a budget you can have a great meal that all of your guests will enjoy, heavy is
not always the way to go, especially in the heat or the extreme cold, this will also stretch your budget!
 

6:  Treat your guests well. You invited them to share in your new life as husband and wife.
 Take the time to say thank you for them coming to your wedding even if it is just a toast by you and the groom, not thanking them for coming is bad manners.
 

7.Also when hiring your vendors make sure that you put in the contract that under,
no terms are any of the vendors consume alcohol on your event. This is the equivalent to drinking on the job. The reason I am putting this on here is because I have seen it and don't like it one bit, yes I have said something to them on site, so now I have enemy's oh well, that is what you have me there for.  We don't do it, and don't feel others need to as well. This is your party and not a free for all for the hired help to "take the edge off".
 

8. Treat your vendors as you would like to be treated.
 

9. When your chose your MOH Bridesmaids they are there to share in your happiness
for your big day, they are not there to wait on you hand and foot, pre wedding or during
that is why you hire a wedding planner for the "day of".  Everyone has a busy
life style now adays, also think of the budget constrictions on choosing there dress, Some
maybe can't afford 375.00 just for the dress or 100.00 for the shoes.
 

10. When doing your research, this is important, make sure that if you don't know about contracts
then ask questions, if the answer is not satisfactory....then don't sign it!
We can do this for you, just call or ask before, don't think it will go away, as for the Quote "Prices subject to change".... well it means just that, I don't want any big surprises on the "day of"  and neither do you.
 

11. Also when selecting a site ask them how many guests it will hold, if they say up to 170.
ask if you can see a set up of all the tables in place for this type of set up, if it sounds
to go to be true when you look at it... keep in mind the guests have to sit to eat, and also
think of the DJ table and other tables that need to be in that room, also if a table on your
wedding day is not set up the way you envisioned it to in its place, that is probably because
the site is to cramped for that to happen. Also try to have a table for your photographer. Good photographers bring lot's of equipment.  Also make sure the site is adaptable to guests who have special needs, This is a must for all site to have ramps and such for your guests who need this.
  Also if the site offers only there on site cater ask to speak to the chef, he will be the one doing the cooking on your day of, so that you get the type of food you want cooked the way you want it to be.
 

12. If the site doesn't have out door night lighting then ask how the guests are to
see leaving the place and check the parking situation, nothing is worse than the guests
having to walk several blocks to your event.
 

13. Check out all rules to the ceremony location , make sure that it will allow those candles
that you wanted. also what are time constraints, for being late?
 

14. When hiring a photographer make sure he gives you all rights to your pictures, this
means he gives you the right to print and share them with all your family and friends.
If not then you and your guests will be paying 3 to 10 dollars for a 4 by 6 print. Also keep in mind the
camera doesn't lie , If you are having a great time it will show in the pics, the love will show
as well, make sure they do there own editing, not send it to a lab, because they were at your
wedding not the lab tech. We do all our own in house editing, as well give you all rights as
well as other photographers I may refer you too if Ben is booked also give all rights.

15. On the DJ or Band make sure you tell him what songs you don't want to hear on your
special day, and have a CD burned with all of your special day for him, just not the name
of it, It maybe not the version you wanted.Also have a back up one as well, Everyone is
human so the DJ may not know what you are thinking of the same song.
 

16. Most important,,,Plan a lifetime not just a day, also don't go broke planning your
wedding do what you can afford to do... if you need help with this we are here for you to do so.

It is still fresh in my mothers eyes, I don't want not to remember him,or cause grief for her, So how can I do this? I really don't like the idea of the candle .Or hurt anyones feelings? This should be a happy time for you, I do feel your grief, as having lost someone very close to myself as well, many years ago, There are options that you can do, and I have done in the past. You could put a picture on the chair where he would have sat, with some flowers there or just as it is...or also as a saying on the program. Well, that is just fine to do

Or what in my heart is telling me is this, If you have a pocket watch that was his or even a locket, put a picture of him in there in place of the flowers that you will be carrying that will be close to your heart as your walking down the aisle, I hope these brings some happiness to you, there are options that will help, and not bring sadness to anyone.

good not chessy , as some of you know what that means, well they are the best

band I have heard in awhile, When you stop bye I have them on DVD or contact

them and they will send you one. Night Song is one of the best, not just by me but,

Sometimes we can't make everyone happy, as you well know, not just for a wedding
but in life , On this issue , What I reccommend is that everyone sit down, discuss what
is bothering everyone, and if you can't do it in person, then email everyone, Tell
everyone how you feel, so I really don't know why your are feeling this way, you need to
address the reason why, maybe money, guest list,everyone wants to have the wedding
they never had? This is your wedding, and in the grand scheme of things, Sometimes
we have to think of them as well, and love will conquer all. Just step back ,relax, lay off the
planning for awhile, and it will all calm down, when you look at the big picture of,what the future holds

August 22.2007 update by Ben. 

 Well as most of you know by now I have invested in some new equipment. I originally
set out to buy the Canon 5D Full Frame DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) Camera.
And I did get it...tried it out..and figured "in for a penny...in for a pound!" So I sent it
back and went over the top.

  As of last weekend all weddings will be photographed with the worlds fastest, most advanced
and powerful camera on the market.
The Canon EOS 1D Mark III. Was it expensive?
yes it was....Canon USA has just introduced it only several months ago and getting
one was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. This camera is so sought after by
professional photographers that even the big three dealers are on back order for the next
6 weeks. Canon can't keep up with the demand. I was very lucky to find one only
after contacting 26 dealers across the country.

In addition to that I have added a new HP xw4400 computer. This is a commercial
workstation with the most powerful Intel Core Duo processor on the market along with
a full ONE THOUSAND GIGABYTE RAID 5 HARD DRIVE AND 6 gigs of RAM memory
along with three digital LCD monitors in tandum
.

I just want to make dang sure The Ultimate Affair and BenMichalski.Com has the most
cutting edge and state of the art equipment to offer our brides and clients for their

Well I did get some questions about a remark made last week on my update,

Colleen asks:" Do you wear high heels all the time" Yes I do Colleen

Speaking of Shoes, before your big day girls wear them, scuff up the bottoms so that

you will have a safe day , and be comfy in them.All is great over at Ultimate Affair

we are working hard on your weddings and events, I also will be doing a Pam Page in the

next few weeks about tidbits to have a great day, Also we would like you to join us once again to be

part of the PINK PARTY this year, More to follow on this, It is for such a great cause,

this could happen to anyone at anytime, which I hope it never will in any of your lifetimes

breast cancer is something that is so important issue to all of us, We at The Ultimate

Affair are big supporters of this issue, and I know this is a page to be updates on our business

but, as most of your know me, Well, this is very important item that needs to be
